Everneath

Everneath - Brodi Ashton Rating 6/10This was a very interesting read for me. The mythology was integrated into the story in a flawless believable way. I love the way the underworld was described and brought into the story. What I also enjoyed was that the novel switches between the past and the present. It gave it a certain something extra and it was executed very well. The beginning however was a bit confusing. It all eventually made sense, but you had to work at it a bit.My biggest complaint was that I didn’t feel for the characters. Nikki felt a bit flat to me and it was hard to believe she really loved Jack. The ending was a bit predictable, but still managed to entertain!I will check out the next in the series, but it won’t be high on my to-read list.*In Short*The mythology made the book, the characters let it down.*Slight Spoiler*I love the idea of anchors!
